DMC Perle Cotton No 8 comes on adorable little balls containing 80 metres of pearlised thread. Perle thread is soft, silky and does not fluff or kink. The thread consists of two inseparable stands which is equivalent to 3 strands of embroidery thread.

So whats the difference with normal DMC stranded cotton for a start it comes on a ball so no more tangling skeins of threads. The size 8 Perle cotton is equivalent to 3 strands of embroidery thread. As Perle is non divisible the strands will lie flat, its effectively the fuss free embroidery thread.
