Win: Liberty London Cottage Garden Fabric Bundle

We do love a new fabric arrival and the brand new Liberty London Cottage Garden collection is perfect for a spot of spring sewing.

Inspiration for the Liberty Cottage Garden collection comes from the beautiful villages of Buckinghamshire. This area of English countryside is where Arthur Liberty escaped from his London city life. The thatched cottage gardens burst with colourful floral displays filling the winding roads with charm and delight.

Flowers featured in the prints include forget-me-nots, bluebells and anemones. The colour palettes include warm dusty pinks, coral tones mixed with denim and cornflower blues. The warmer, neutral tones are inspired by the stone paths on local walking trails.

You can find the full Liberty Cottage Garden bundle with 15% off here and to celebrate the collections release we are giving away a bundle of 12 of the blue toned fabrics from the Cottage Garden collection worth £42.

These quilt patterns were definitely worth the wait as the format has been completely overhauled and the quilt patterns are now available in a very detailed PDF download.

Wilbur the Horse Quilt – Pre-Order now open!

I had my Moda rep with me this morning picking out new fabrics for Winter 2015. One of the upcoming releases is the quilt kit to make this awesome Wilbur the Horse Quilt

Moda PureBred Quilt

Digitally printed this amazing horse quilt has a real vintage, yet modern feel and is just an incredible quilt for the horse lovers in your life. I found this photo on the Moda blog taken at Quilt Market and it gives a better look at the Quilt in a real life setting

Pretty cool huh! Here is the blurb from the Moda Blog:

Purebred by Erin Michael.  That’s Wilbur on the floor.  It isn’t a rug, it’s a quilt and it has plexiglass laid over it.  Using Erin’s painting and fabric design, Holly created the much larger horse image in Bella Solids.  It was so terrific – and much coveted – that a digital image was printed.  So Wilbur is going to be a quilt kit that comes with the fabrics for the backgrounds and the patches, and a 60″ x 60″ printed panel that can be fused-stitched onto the background.  The panel will also include some smaller images that can be used for a pillow, tote-bag or on the back of the quilt.  (I LOVE this quilt.)

If you fancy making Wilbur head over to the website where you can pre-order the quilt kit until the 8th July

Whats in the kit:

  • Wilbur Quilt Pattern by Moda
  • Wilbur Horse Panel including smaller horse images
  • Purebred fabrics for the 160cm x 200cm (63″ x 78″) quilt top, patches and binding.

These are the Purebred fabrics featured in the Wilbur Quilt:

You will need to purchase backing fabric separately and we will have a selection available in November.

The kit will cost £125. A deposit of £35 will be payable when you pre-order your kit with a second payment of £35 due in September. The final payment of £55 is due when the kits arrive in November. Customers purchasing the kit will also receive a 15% off voucher to redeem against the backing fabric of their choice.

Moda Horse Close up

He’s pretty gorgeous isn’t he! If you fancy getting your hands on one of these gorgeous kits? Head over to the website now to pre-order!

Small print: You may cancel your order prior to delivery but if you cancel after 8 July you will loose your initial deposit of £35. These kits are digitally printed and are available in limited quantities. In the event we do not receive the kits we pre-ordere from Moda,  kits will be allocated on a first come first served basis and a full refund will be provided in the event we cannot provide you with a kit. We obviously have our fingers and toes crossed that this doesn’t happen, but we like to be upfront that this is always a possibility and is entirely outside of our control!
