Crochet Colour Palette: Heather Haze

When it comes to starting a new crochet project one of the most fun and sometimes challenging aspect of the project is deciding on the colours to use. That’s where we can help. Every week we will be posting a crochet colour palette of the week matched back to a range of wool stocked here at the Homemakery. Over time we will build up a library of crochet colour palettes so if you are ever looking for inspiration pop back and click on the tag Crochet Colour Palette.

Pretty shades of pink and purple feature in this weeks crochet colour palette inspired by beautiful heather covered moorland.

Last week you may have noticed that there was no Crochet Colour Palette of the week as I took my first week off from The Homemakery and headed over to Tuscany, in Italy, for some R&R. We stayed in a beautiful house perched on the side of a hill with the most stunning views, we visited sweet medieval towns and ate a lot of incredible Italian food and sampled a lot of local wine! This week I’m bringing some Tuscan inspiration to our crochet palette, inspired by bright blue skies framing lush tree covered hills (the green yarn is aptly named Pesto!), paired with beige, burnt orange and yellow, colours inspired by the quaint medieval walled towns and cities we visited.

Like many of you this weekend we headed off to our local Bluebell Woods to take in the breath taking sight of the purple haze covering the woodland floor.  Bluebells never fail to take my breath away and I look forward to their arrival every year. I love that these delicate flowers are protected, you can be fined up to £5000, per bulb if you are caught removing the bulbs! Not surprising perhaps after a couple of hours wandering through the woods it seems only right to pay homage to these gorgeous flowers as they come to the end of their season in this weeks crochet colour palette:
